If you notice notes in your target CRM that didn’t exist in the original system and weren’t part of the migrated data, they were likely created by our tool as part of a bridging process.
Some CRMs allow files (attachments) to be linked directly to records like companies, contacts, or opportunities. Others—such as HubSpot—require an intermediary activity, like a note or an email, to associate a file with those records. When migrating from a CRM that supports direct attachments to one that requires an activity record, our tool automatically creates a note to serve as a bridge.
These "bridge notes" are not listed in your migration wizard report because they don’t originate from the source CRM—they’re generated during the migration to ensure all your attachments are properly linked. However, they will appear in the activity timelines of your companies, contacts, and deals in the new CRM.
After migration, your attachments will appear both in the activity timeline (linked to the bridge notes) and in the Attachments section.
Bridge notes are typically empty or marked with a placeholder symbol like “_” and are dated based on the original file upload date from the source CRM.
