Many of our clients initially attempted to migrate their data using native tools provided by vendors like HubSpot or Salesforce, or through third-party import platforms, before turning to MigrateMyCRM.
In these cases, the primary records—such as Contacts, Accounts (Companies), Deals (Opportunities), and Leads—were often transferred to the target CRM successfully. However, associated records like emails, notes, tasks, and products were frequently left behind.
When Activities are later migrated using MigrateMyCRM— after the main records have already been imported via another tool— they may not be properly linked to their parent records in the CRM, resulting in a fragmented dataset.
To resolve this issue, there are two recommended options:
Option 1: Full Re-Migration
Clean up your target CRM and perform a complete re-migration from the original source CRM using MigrateMyCRM. This ensures all records—including Activities—retain their correct associations with parent records.
Option 2: Matching Strategy
If re-migrating the main records is not feasible, you can apply a record-matching strategy. In this case, MigrateMyCRM will migrate only the Activities and Products, while establishing relationships with the existing parent records in your target CRM using identifiers such as email addresses or CRM IDs.
