When mapping fields, a downward arrow icon indicates that the field is a dropdown (picklist).
It's a good idea to click this icon to review and ensure that all values are correctly mapped between your source and target CRMs.
If there's a mismatch between the source and target picklist options, you have a couple of ways to resolve it:
1. Update Directly in the Wizard
-
Click the "Update Target Options" button at the bottom of the window.
-
If any values exist in the source that aren’t present in the target picklist, they’ll be shown on the next screen.
-
Select the missing values you want to add—either one by one or in bulk—and click the orange "Update Target Options" button again.
-
You’ll be returned to the mapping screen, where you can now match the values without gaps, as all missing options have been added to the target field.
2. Update Through Your Target CRM Interface
If the "Update Target Options" button is inactive, it means the target CRM doesn’t allow picklist updates via API. In this case:
-
Manually add the missing options directly through your CRM’s interface.
-
Then return to the mapping wizard and click "Refresh Fields" to load the updated picklist values.
Note: Simply refreshing the browser page will not perform this update.
Keep Original
In some mappings, you'll see a "Keep Original" checkbox in picklists.
When this option is selected, the historical value from the source CRM will be transferred to the target field during migration without adding it to the list of actual options in the target CRM.
This means the historical value will be stored in the record, but it won’t appear in the dropdown when manually creating or editing records in your target CRM.
If you want these values to be selectable from the dropdown in the future, you’ll need to manually add them to the picklist in your CRM interface, as explained above.
Note: We do not recommend using the "Keep Original" option for critical system fields such as Pipeline Stages and Lifecycle Stages.
These are core components of your CRM’s structure and should reflect clearly defined business processes. Before mapping these fields, take time to review and align your pipeline and lifecycle stages with how your team works.
